ICB Partial Reopening

Assalamu Alaikum,

The Islamic Center of Boulder will be opening three times per day for regular daily prayers on Monday, June 8.
The first time will be Fajr time.
The second time will be Duhr time. At this time Asr will be combined.
The third time will be Maghrib time. At this prayer time Isha will be combined.

ICB Shoura and the Executive Committee have taken into consideration state and local regulations, available public health information, and ICB’s specific needs to create a safe space with every precaution considered.

Please see below for important rules we will all need to abide by.

– At this time 15 people will be allowed to enter for each time.
– Individuals will be able to enter on a first come first served basis.
– A space of at least 6 feet must be observed when entering and exiting the mosque, and during prayers a space of 10 feet will be observed.
– Wear a mask; per Boulder County directive no one will be permitted to enter without a mask.
– Bring a prayer rug; you will need to place your prayer rug on one of the designated spaces marked with plastic and tape.
– Make wudhu at home. The bathrooms at ICB will be closed.
– Arrival times will be 10 minutes before Adhan and everyone must leave 10 minutes after prayer has ended.
– Iqama will be 10 minutes after adhan for each prayer time. This is different from what is listed on the prayer times on the ICB website. Please follow current adhan times and make adjustments for iqama when following time for prayer.
– Children under 14 will not be permitted inside the mosque.
– If you are aged 65 or older, or if you are at a higher risk for complications if you contract COVID-19, ICB leadership recommends that you stay home.
– If you are sick do not visit ICB.
– If you have been exposed to someone with COVID-19 please stay home.
– The sisters’ prayer room will be closed as all prayers will take place in the main prayer hall.
– Please wear socks for better health hygiene.

If rules and guidelines are not followed you will be asked to leave the premises.
There must be consistency and full participation of these rules to keep everyone healthy and to avoid another shutdown of the masjid.

After each prayer time volunteers will sanitize all doors and surfaces.

In between prayers the mosque will be closed. All classes will continue to be held online.

At this time ICB will not be open for Jumu’ah prayer. Information and guidelines for Friday prayers to follow very soon.

May Allah (SWT) bless you all, keep you and your loved ones healthy, and draw us all closer together in this trying time.

Thank you all for your patience and for your participation.
