May Allah make it easy and give shifa for the affected members and may Allah protect all of us. Aameen.
Boulder County COVID Information:
Assalamu Alaikum,
The Islamic Center of Boulder will be opening three times per day for regular daily prayers on Monday, June 8.
The first time will be Fajr time.
The second time will be Duhr time. At this time Asr will be combined.
The third time will be Maghrib time. At this prayer time Isha will be combined.
ICB Shoura and the Executive Committee have taken into consideration state and local regulations, available public health information, and ICB’s specific needs to create a safe space with every precaution considered.
Please see below for important rules we will all need to abide by.
– At this time 15 people will be allowed to enter for each time.
– Individuals will be able to enter on a first come first served basis.
– A space of at least 6 feet must be observed when entering and exiting the mosque, and during prayers a space of 10 feet will be observed.
– Wear a mask; per Boulder County directive no one will be permitted to enter without a mask.
– Bring a prayer rug; you will need to place your prayer rug on one of the designated spaces marked with plastic and tape.
– Make wudhu at home. The bathrooms at ICB will be closed.
– Arrival times will be 10 minutes before Adhan and everyone must leave 10 minutes after prayer has ended.
– Iqama will be 10 minutes after adhan for each prayer time. This is different from what is listed on the prayer times on the ICB website. Please follow current adhan times and make adjustments for iqama when following time for prayer.
– Children under 14 will not be permitted inside the mosque.
– If you are aged 65 or older, or if you are at a higher risk for complications if you contract COVID-19, ICB leadership recommends that you stay home.
– If you are sick do not visit ICB.
– If you have been exposed to someone with COVID-19 please stay home.
– The sisters’ prayer room will be closed as all prayers will take place in the main prayer hall.
– Please wear socks for better health hygiene.
If rules and guidelines are not followed you will be asked to leave the premises.
There must be consistency and full participation of these rules to keep everyone healthy and to avoid another shutdown of the masjid.
After each prayer time volunteers will sanitize all doors and surfaces.
In between prayers the mosque will be closed. All classes will continue to be held online.
At this time ICB will not be open for Jumu’ah prayer. Information and guidelines for Friday prayers to follow very soon.
May Allah (SWT) bless you all, keep you and your loved ones healthy, and draw us all closer together in this trying time.
Thank you all for your patience and for your participation.

Assalamu Alaikkum Brs. and Srs.,
Eid al Fitr, 1441 AH will be on Sunday, May 24th, 2020, Insha Allah.
Link to join on Tuesday bouldermuslims.com/support
Just a few months back, it was unimaginable that we would not have any Iftaar, Taraweeh, or even the Friday Jumuah at our Masjid in the month of Ramadan. The volunteers on the Kitchen Team, Executive Team, Security Team, and many others used to work together with our Imam to make the events run smoothly. But this Ramadan, as the Almighty willed, we are sheltered in our homes with more time than ever to spend in His Worship. Hope you have been able to make use of this opportunity.
Please find the details of the event below:
Event: “Charity in Ramadan” Webinar

Zakat ul-Fitr is an obligatory charity on every Muslim male or female who possesses food in excess of their needs. The head of household should pay Zakat ul-Fitr for their dependents such as children (including a baby on the way), servants and any dependent relatives. The amount payable is approximately 5 lb. of staple food in the relevant country or an amount of money that is equivalent to the price of the food. The dollar amount is approximately $12.00 per person for us here in Boulder.
Zakat ul-Fitr can be paid during Ramadan, before Eid ul-Fitr prayers at the latest, so that the poor can enjoy the day of Eid.

Asslamu Alaikum Brothers and Sisters,
On March 13, in light of the COVID-19 outbreak in the United States, we announced that the Islamic Center of Boulder will not be holding any congregational prayers.
Due to the enormity of the fast-moving situation and the latest enforcement of Stay at Home orders by the City of Boulder, Denver, and many other areas across Colorado, effective today March 24, 2020 ICB management has decided to completely lock down the Islamic Center of Boulder until further notice.
Only certain essential staff of ICB will be allowed to enter the premises.
Your cooperation is highly appreciated.
We all need to support each other within the ICB community and around the communities in which we live. We can smile at one another, reach out online or by phone, put up a sign in your yard with kind and hopeful words, and we can still pray.
Please stay connected! Reach out to your Imam, Sheikh Shoaib, for wisdom and for learning and for companionship. Reach out to one another and do not leave anyone behind. Remember those who live alone. Check on each other. Most of us have extra time do this now.
May Allah (SWT) bless and protect us, and bring this difficult time to an quick end.
Sincerely,
ICB Management Team
Assalamu alaikkum,
All daily congregational prayers at the Islamic Center of Boulder have been canceled until further notice.
The masjid will be open from Duhr time to Isha time for those who wish to come in and pray individually.
There will be NO FAJR PRAYER for now; the masjid will be closed at that time.
This is the best decision can make in the worst of times to keep everyone safe and healthy.
Let’s stay as connected as we can right now and trust in Allah (SWT). Reach out to those who may need help with food, medications, or childcare. Some of our most vulnerable are not safe in public spaces, and there are some grocery items that are scarce right now.
May Allah (SWT) keep us in good health and our hearts peaceful.
